This is a great yoyo from Yomega. Probably one of their best yet. It’s pretty smooth on the string, but just slows down a lot when a few strings are in the gap. But it can fit a few strings in the gap without snagging. It is a rather light yoyo though. It would play and sleep better with a little weight added. I haven’t tried modding mine yet, though inside of each half are two screws that unscrew the sidecaps. This makes for easy modding. It uses the same size metal ball bearing that all the other Yomega line uses. This yoyo is much lighter than the Hyperwarp. This yoyo feels like a dream in your hand. It is shaped just right, the outer edges are rounded off, so it doesnt hurt if it snaps back in your hand. Of course this yoyo isn’t good for looping becasuse it’s a butterfly shape, but other than that it plays pretty good. I give this yoyo a 7 on a scale of 1-10. It’s a must buy with a cost of about $10.00.

If you were ever reluctant to try out a Yomega yo-yo, make sure you don’t miss out on giving the HyperWarp Wing a spin. Unlike the original HyperWarp, this yo-yo can actually play smoothly on string tricks and never catch on your hand. The HyperWarp Wing is not as heavy as I expected it to be, but you can always pop off the caps and add some weight yourself. Its a low maitanance yo-yo that plays out of the box just fine. The yo-yo is perfectley sized despite the width of the gap, which is about the same as the original HyperWarp. The HyperWarp Wing is made out of self-healing plastic, and sports a really cool design that comes in various colors. The only drawback are the spacers, which are slim and have a large diameter, nothing that I have seen on any other Yomega yo-yo. So, if you want an affordable yo-yo that can loop well and won’t let you down get a HyperWarp Wing.

When I first opened this yoyo and held it the shape and size is identical to the Firestorm Wing, the Firestorm Wing was one of the first Yomega yoyos that I bought. I learned several of the basic tricks on that yoyo but soon felt that I needed a higher performance yoyo. That was a little over 3 years ago, no the Hyperwarp Wing has finally released. The Hyperwarp wing also comes with the standard Yomega White string. After the first throw of this yoyo I could tell that I would like it. Even with the Yomega string on the yo it felt smooth and was responsive. The weight of the yoyo seems just right for string tricks and you can still do a loop at the end of the trick. I then opened up the yoyo to see what was inside, the first thing that I noticed is that Hyperwarp Wing Halves the bearing spacers are much biger than a standard spacer. The bearing itself looks the same as the Raider bearings. Also on the back of the half there are two screws that allow you to remove the side pog of the yoyo. This is much better than a Saber Raider that you basically would have to break the yoyo to get the side caps off and add weight. So I decided it was time to put the yoyo through some tricks, with the Yomega string it seemed to constantly catch, even after the break in period. So I put on a Slick 6 and the yoyo smoothed right out. It was able to handle back spin very well as well as multiple layers of string in the gap. Overall I am very pleased with this yoyo and it was worth the wait and the money that was spent. If you want a good solid perfomer the Hyperwarp Wing will fit the bill.

If you like lightweight, fixed gap butterfly yo-yos read no further and buy one, you wonÕt be disappointed. For more info, read on. The Hyperwarp Wing (HWW) is a revolutionary saber wing butterfly yo-yo from Yomega. Out of the box it is probably the best performing fixed gap, lightweight yo-yo I have ever tried. On first glance it is similar in dimensions to the Super Spin Faktor, ¹ inch narrower than the Renegade and much lighter than either. The gap appears narrower than the newer yo-yos on the market too, however it doesnÕt diminish the performance due to the new bearing assembly. This is what I think is revolutionary about this yo-yo. The bearing seats are chrome plated and twice the diameter of the bearing with the starbursts set adjacent to them. The starburst is nearly 1/8 inch away from the bearing. This allows 4 layers of string into the gap before the string starts rubbing against the starburst and allows for super smooth sliding and backspin. Traditional yo-yos have the starburst adjacent to the bearing because bearing seats are the same diameter as the bearing. This means fewer strings can be allowed into the gap before they start rubbing against the braking system. To counteract this, most utilize wider and wider gaps, which reduces responsiveness. Thus requiring some modification to regain moderate responsiveness. The HWW however, is as responsive as a TBB with the brake pads worn down to the sweet spot. Flip winds are easy to perform and it returns predictably to your hand even when the spin is reduced to near death after completing a trick. The more I use the HWW the more I love it. The only modifications I have made is to clean the bearing and use a slic 6 string. I was able to complete Skin The Gerbil without snagging, the only other yo-yo I can perform this trick with is a modded Viper. With a little practice I was also able to land a trapeze and add 3 Lindy loops and unwind without much problem. 4 Lindy loops are possible, but I haven’t had success completely unwinding yet ;). I’m not that good on pop up tricks, but it seems to snag less than most other yo-yos that use starbursts as a braking system. I believe this to be the best overall butterfly yo-yo for the rank beginner (use type 8 string) through advanced player (use slick 6 string). The only downside is that the HWW only sleeps slightly longer than a TBB GT. Keep your Renegade or SSF for learning tricks with their extended sleep times. Then save your throw finger, elbow, knuckles, and fingernails by using the HWW for everyday play. At the current price of around $11, it is the best value of any yo-yo, truly an instant classic and a Must Buy.

WOW. Out of the pack with a yomega string it is better than my sf. It really is a smooth as ice! I love this thing. I never would expect Yomega to get a yo out this good.

This butterfly is AWESOME. at age 13, im still on my way to getting all the yomega yoyos. This is my 5th yomega. The hyperwarp wing looked like a cheesy plastic yoyo that looks like a bucks worth. But its worth the 14.99 (yomega.com) i paid. With exceptional handling and balance its the best yet except for the metallic missile (59.99-yomega.com) dont got that yet. Its one of the better sleepers out there. I like the wing force for sleeping. There are many advantages, it sleeps a long time, loops like a wooden yoyo (really good), catches on the string ok, but the only bad thing is its made in china. Thats bad to some people but i dont care. Keep on yoin people.

Out of the box it’s a great yoyo, but add some weight rings and a Slick 6 string and you’ve got yourself one heck of a performer. I’ve yet to see this baby snag and I can finally do pop-up tricks. The gap is rather thin, though, causing it to slow down with only a couple strings in the gap, but this isn’t that big a deal. It can’t loop well, not that I expected it to, anyways. If you can pay twice the cost and get a SpinFaktor, you might want to, but never the less, this is still a great yoyo to have.

Hyperwarp Wing: The Hyperwarp Wing is a unique slimline butterfly yo-yo made by Yomega. It is lightweight, but is really any weight you want it to be, because it has removable caps. With the aid of a small phillips head screwdriver, you can add weight with other yo-yo’s weight rings (like tigershark weight rings). The point that it’s slimline I don’t really like, but I can still pull off things like White Buddha, Kamikaze and Rancid milk along with my whips on this yo. It’s cheap, plays well and has got to be one of the best yomega yoyos.
The guts: This yoyo is roller bearing, with unique spacers. The spacers are like conventional Raider spacers, but are wider. If you don’t get that, then go to www.spinningtoys.com, click on reviews and find the review of the Hyperwarp Wing. Because of the spacers, even though the gap is a bit thin, it is smooth, can handle a lot of backspin and to me, can hold 11 strings in the gap without it snagging at all (triple ripcord). A great yo for about $12, a must buy for the performance.

I got my Hyperwarp Heavy Wing on january 2th and to make a long story short I find this yoyo awfully PERFECT!!!. Well that’s in my opinion at least. To me it doesn’t really feel heavyuntil you throw it down, than you start feeling. On mine the first time i took it out of the box I got it to sleep for about minute and a halfand I’m no profesional. After I lubed it I got it to sleep to more than 5 minutes(i brought it back up too). And don’t think that it is a bad looper because of its weight and shape, it is actually one of the best loopers I’ve used(right next to the Rev-Rim). Now if you want it to be even easier to use(let’s say you’re a beginner) just triple loop it and it will be extremely easy but it will still be able to do 30-60 second sleepers with simplicity.
